Use of an air/water heat exchanger when T electrical cabinet < T ambient
With this type of heat exchanger, the cooling of the air inside the electrical cabinet is achieved by using a cooling unit. The hot air extracted from the cabinet is not transferred to the cabinet surroundings but to a water circuit that can be connected to a heat recovery installation.
For example, this type of electrical cabinet air conditioning is often used to cool the high frequency pins or other equipment using hydraulic oil or transmission equipment. In most cases, the required cold water is produced “in a closed circuit” by a water cooling system.
